On my 96 f-150 just 2wd with a striaght six and a 5spd went over railroad tracks and the hood flew open after i pulled over and reclose a little forcefully the hood is stuck half closed in the latch. The inside hood release i believe locked down under the hood hinge and the second latch infront of the truck locked it down on the inside latch ive already tried prying the heck out of it anyother help would be great i need it to open so i can figure out clutch problems
If the hood popped open from rattling over RR tracks there was already something wrong with your hood latch. The hood latch is one of those places that does not get the maintenance it needs and after so many years it locks up. You might have to replace it once you get it open. LMC Trucks has all of the parts ( http://www.lmctruck.com/ )
My Carbon foot print is 57 tons per year, and that doesn't count my fart gas. I spend my carbon offset money on my 1995 F150 Flareside with a carbon spewing 5.0L V8.
