They actually make a special tool to open those clips that are like pliers but when you close them they spread open.

They make a special tool for everything... I just never seem to have it, I pulled the entire front plastic piece and the headlights out and then bent the clips and slid them out... slid them back on, bent them back and bolted everything back together... here's better pics

I have the same ones but in clear. And yeah snap ring pliers if I ever have to do this again

Looks awesome with all the chrome! I'm lacking any chrome at all lol its not me but I think it looks good on certain trucks.

Thanks man yeah you did yours right. Looks good! It would look weird w clear headlights.

I personally popped all them off with needle nose or just a flat bladed.


Now that I know you use snap ring pliers I think I will use those since I have some from fixing the 89 F250s column.

Question for you. How would you rate your headlight output w these? I bought brand new bulbs when I did the swap and they are just regular bulbs but something about the bulb housing in the headlight (the cone shaped thing) seems to block too much light or something. It's not that bad and definitely good enough to get by but it's not all that bright. Is yours like that?

The fastest wat to change the headlight housings in these rigs is to just bull the entire header panel.
