I love the silverstar. I use the one just up from that the ultra star. Good OEM quality and about as bright as you want as long as you have good lenses. To get any brighter you need to go to hid and change all the wiring and as unit505 says risk the ticket and blind other drivers. In my opinion if you need more light than that for back roads and off road add some off road and fog lights that you can turn off in traffic.
Mine are awesome and from far away people always think they look like lower draw HID's. They're alright - best halogen so far. I've always bought them off a specific person on Ebay.
One of my vehicles has PIAA's they're also alright quick to burn out if you're not going high-speeds while running your high beams.

You can buy Hella 100/80 9007 bulbs for about $15 each. The key to long life on these bulbs is not going fast. It's upgrading the stock wiring. You can cut the two hot wires going to each headlight, run each set, low/high beam to a relay to trigger a heavy gauge feed from the battery back to each set low/high beam. Insufficient current for higher output bulbs will shorten their life. A set of 75/65 or 100/80w bulbs need larger gauge wiring. It's super simple to reroute your headlights through a set of heavy duty relays and power them directly from the battery rather than the fuse box.

In my opinion, Sylvania Xtravision is the perfect balance between increased lighting and bulb longevity. If your headlamp lenses are cloudy, you need to polish them to clear them up and throw a coat if wax on them from time to time to keep them from fogging up.

Dodge+Ford = always ready
i didnt notice a difference between the cheap Sylvania and the high end Sylvania, pretty pissed about that....best thing you could do is clean your housing if you dont want to go with HIDs, or buy offroad lights.
