Default hey I need some serious help

Hey there. ive been looking and researching for ideas on why my truck suddenly started struggling for fuel or power on acceleration or going up hills. Third gear up hills will get the whole truck shaking but can push it into overdrive and itstops the shaking but runs rough. Struggles starting when hot. Extreme heat on engine. Pulled the dipstick after a drive and it was smoking. Just got an oilchange and the local mechanic to look at it. They told me to run some premium fuel and throw some injector cleaner in it. Didnt work. Changed the fuel filter and reset codes. Its reading 33 and 133. Egrdid not open/respond during test. Did not open intermittenly and I couldn't find 133. I threw new cap rotor plugs and wires in a couple months ago. Been running great until randomly after I got to the carpool from work and started it up. Wondering if its a clogged cat causeong backpressure. Was a very strong smell of unburnt fuel coming from the throttle body and from the exhaust. Seems to have subsided a bit after the a mechanic started pulling plugs trying to find a miss. I dont know im kinda baffled andi really dont want to give this thing to someone and get into big time labor costs with no solution. Want to rules out somethings before I get involved with the injection system. Thanks I look forward to hearing from u

What exactly is your truck? Model, engine, trans? This will help people help you diagnose possible problems.

I believe you can only get either 2 digit codes or 3 digit codes. Not both. And were these key on engine off or was the engine running?

Hey ya sry its a 93 f150 lariat xlt 302 5.0L. Oh I wasnt aware that it was one or the other. The site im using to list the codes shows 2 and 3 digit codes and judging from the pauses and double pauses it gives me I swear it read 33, 133. Tried it three times. Ill check again tmrw its getting late here.

And I checked it with the keys on engine off. Been reading of people having the same problems maybe a broken egr sensor or valve is stuck shut. Someone also posted that he cleaned his IAC and fixing both of those things fixed his problem. Its indicating a misfire or ignition problem but is dicieving and im wondering if these symptoms can simply fixed as easy as that. Just praying an injector didnt decide to die on me

2 or 3 it is still a egr problem. Test the egr and the sensor on top of it. Egr must hold vac and volts must move smoothly. Measure vac and fuel pressure. I would test the map for kicks and check timing.

Default fixed.

Hey there everyone who posted thanks for your input. Took it to a guy that loves fords and has his own shop. Turned out to be a bad injector. He threw an extra one in and shes driving nice again. Still dont seem to have the power when I stomp on it though. Going to reset codes and go for a ride, see if anything comes up

Just an FYI - There are places that you can send your injectors to have them professionally cleaned for $10-$15 each. They'll perform like new afterwards.
