HELP - What year is this? (truck fire)
I posted a picture of a truck on fire in the f150 photos......
Im trying to investigate a F150 that was abandoned and then set on fire by an arsonist. Granted, it is a junker, but the VIN number has been destroyed (under the window) and nothing on the door jam.
Is there a way to figure out the vin in another location?
Do you know what year this truck might be, or any information that might help narrow down on what year this is?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Mac

The enigne and axles have forged vin numbers on them. A dealer might be able to recall what truck they rolled outta the factory with. The brake light covers (red) have the year in a vin code at the bottom. It won't be the exact year of the vehicle but it will put you darn close.

It really pisses me off when people burn vehicles like that.------
My friend had a brand new 2009 dodge ram quad-cab 4x4 (a $ 30,000 truck) that was stolen last month, his radio and subs taken, and the police found it burnt to a crisp the next day

question, why would they burn it? the truck belongs to him? if the titles still in his name?
