Help w/ 96 F150 blower motor?
New member here, and new F150 owner. Just bought a 96 F150 4.9L standard cab w/ 344k miles on it, and it currently does not blow air through any of the vents (or floor/dash). I'm assuming that the blower motor has died, because the compressor still kicks on when I switch the system to A/C. Can someone give me a general idea of where I'll find the old blower motor so I can stick a new one in there? Also, is this the only part I need?

Thanks in advance!

Does it blow air on the highest fan setting? If it does, you just need the blower motor resistor (about $15 at the parts store and easy to change).
If it doesn't blow on the high setting, I'd check fuses and connectors first, before replacing the motor.
The motor is (at least on my 91) in the engine compartment, mounted on the passenger side of the firewall.

Doesn't blow on any speed, and the fuse appears to be fine. I bought the truck from a local business that used it as a service vehicle, and they did mention that it needed a blower motor, which is why that's my assumption.
Thanks a lot for the info regarding location. I probably would've pulled half the dash apart looking for it before I bothered checking inside the engine compartment.

If you're standing in front of the truck, the blower is on the firewall, right in front of the passenger seat. The motor is a smaller round thing sticking out toward the front. You'll need to disconnect some wires, and pull a cooling tube loose. From there, you're 4 screws away from getting the motor out.
You'll need some sealant to get the cooling tube back in place too.
