HELP! Rough Idle 96 ford f150
Hello to all I am new to this forum. I recently bought a 96 Ford F150 with the 5.0 and it giving me a headache. anyways to the issue it idles pretty rough and it would stall out every once in a while not when cold or hot but when it had just been driving and then set for 30min to an hour. the stall problem has seemed to go away since i changed the plugs and wires out though. I have also cleaned the IAC valve, checked the PCV valve, gone through the vacuum lines using the decal under the hood, and I have also changed the fuel filter, air filter, and have ran a gas treatment. I am scratching my head and any help would be greatly appreciated.
New or tested good Parts:
IAC Valve
PCV Valve
Pugs and Wires
Vacuum hoses
fuel and Air Filters
also the engine was replaced by Ford factory in 2010 less that 17K on the engine

no RPM gauge on this one and I am not a seasoned mechanic and do not have a way to check the fuel pressure. I would say the the idle seems low though when compared to my fathers 97 f150 with the 4.6 v8

okay so this truck is all stock ?
only thing i can really think of if you have no way of doing anything..
try seeing how fast the truck goes on gear without hitting the gas. lmk what that is.
if not, only thing i can tell you if you put in all those parts. take it to a shop, let them do a pressure test

before I change fuel filter and plugs/wires it would not pull in drive with no gas after fuel filter about 5mph and after plugs it was about 10 mph. and yes it is all stock.

Oh i also took it up to autozone and had the guy put it on the tester. I had no error codes but he did mention insufficient flow in the secondary. I assume he was talking about secondary air system but he said i need to run a fuel treatment. I had already been running acetone in it to see if that would clean it out. about 3oz acetone to 15 gallons of gas

Do you still have the AIR pump? Might have a vacuum leak.
