But with a soldering iron, the world is your oyster! You'll be unstoppable fixing anything that would ordinarily require replacement. Truck breaks down? Effin solder that hoe. No food for dinner? Solder something! Pants ripped? Solder it!!!

Did you open yours up? Just a second ago I went and grabbed mine out. Sometimes it likes to forget to run, but I didn't see any physical problems. Gunna check my dads truck later this weekend...

I opened it up I didn't see any cracked places in the soldered connections, but it smelled like it had been hot. You know how electrical stuff smells when its been hot. When I turn the wipers on my charge hand will go from the M all the way down to the O, and it will stay there instead of jumping back up like it is supposed to.

I thought the charge hand had numbers on it...the temp hand says NORMAL...I guess it depends what cluster you have... Sounds to me like your wiper motor is shorting out to ground.
