Default Help! 1990 f-150 4x4 front end problem

I have a 1990 f-150 4x4. I have a metal clunking sound coming from the front driver side wheel when accelerating, driving, turning... until i get to high speeds. I was coasting downhill yesterday and noticed that when i press the brakes the sound stops. I checked the tie rod end and the rubber boot was busted so I replaced it but that was apparently not the issue because the noise is still there. Truck also has new U-joints. When I roll down the window and listen the noise is clearly coming from right inside the wheel area and not up underneath the truck. Has manual hub locks and they are in the Free position. could this be an issue with the brake calipers? wheel hub assembly? Can't figure this one out.
