Default Head unit wiring

I just bought a new pioneer deh-6500bt and I was wondering how to wire it to the harness that comes with the head unit

Don't chop up that factory harness get the adapter harness from Scoche or Metra first thing. Walmart or Best Buy will stock it.

Yep they should and there should be a code on the harness package when you get it.

Yes get an adaptor. They plug into the factory harness and you then can crimp the connectors together and you can unplug it from the factory harness if you want.

Update, I wired it and while I was putting on connectors the constant wire tapped my head unit and sparked, I went to turn it on and it isn't working now. I checked all the wires and I don't know what the Problem is, can anybody help
