Default Stutters when idling

So a few months ago I noticed that my truck kind of stutters a little bit when idling. I never thought anything of it so im just curious if any one could give me an answer to what is causing this, and if it is bad or not. Thanks!

Thinking the Gen9's (92-96) are very similar to my Gen8 (87-91).

Whenever the idle gets goofy here - surging, inability to maintain idle speed, etc - pull off the IAC (idle air control) solenoid and shoot some good ol' carb cleaner to it - clean out the crud, ensure the piston moves freely. Let it dry out, hook it up, and all has been good-to-go so far.

Occasional reports of the IAC failing - still on the original 24-year-old, from-the-factory unit here.

If the injectors aren't clean - could also cause a stuttering problem at low fuel flows as the fuel isn't being atomized correctly... SeaFoam carries a very high recommendation on the boards, I also like Berryman's B12 for the wallet economies.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

Air, fuel, spark, and timing. Those are your basics. If its not running right one of those is wrong. Check for codes. See if the miss is in one or multiple cylinders. Check timing. Check your plugs wires and cap and test for strong spark. Test your TPS and IAC. Do a vacuum test. Check your fuel pressure. One of these he is is likely to give you a clue to work from.
