Ghost Camo Black Paint Job
Here's the deal, I'm going for rust protection, and a lazy, cheap paint job. I want to take my gloss black, semi scratched up f-150 swb and do something like a three tone black old school camo that would look cool and serve it's purpose. As soon as deer season rolls back around, I'll be dragging limbs down the sides of the truck again, so paying for a quality paint job is dumb and would really **** me off when I scratch it. I want to mask out my camo pattern and spray it with a quality rattle can paint in Gloss, Semi-gloss and flat black. I have used and love the Krylon paint + primer and I really like the look of their matt finish paints. I'll have my three colors primary colors for camo, maybe four if I use the black mat and when I drag a limb down the side and scratch it up, I pull out a can of spray paint and shoot it.
Anyone ever seen a ghost camo but in black?

I saw that one when I searched for black ghost camo. Not going for a high gloss camo, but it gives me some ideas. I've got to make some kind of templates. If I go freehand, I'll F'it up for sure! lol

Dude! That's sweet! I could tape that off pretty easy. I'm going to ask the boss if I can borrow some scaffolding in the next couple weeks so I can get the top of the cab and hood sanded down and prepped (damn ford clearcoat peeling). I've got some split shifts coming up on the ambulance so I've gotta get my schedule straight where I can get this done in one weekend. Can't wait to get going on this!

when they paint them on the military trucks they dont tape them off, they do the outside lines then fill it in. that way the paint does a bit of a fade look. but since your doing all black you might want sharper lines.
