Getting small vibrations from tranny, no speedo cluster lights.
I just purchased a 89 f150 5.0 reg cab lwb. when it is in overdrive i get a small quick vibration from the tranny, is this "torque converter chatter" what can i do to fix this apart from replacing the torque converter?
There are a few other problems, all gauges except the temp gauge work, no lights, interior light, head lights, parking lights, tail lights, blinkers all work, just the lights for the speedo cluster dont work...

purchased the dr tranny lube took some of the shutter out, it seems like it shifts better now also, when i checked the u joints they were OK, but the rear differential where the shaft enters the rear chunk has a lot of play in it. i dont think that is normal... i may have to purchase a new differential, anyone know what i need to look for?

Springer Spaniels Rule
Most older rears do but that would not cause vibrations. As far as play there are shims for the crush collar to tighten up the ring and pinion. Cluster might be bulbs. I had some shutter in my old tbird, I replaced the fluid and it shifted alot better and no shutter. The newer transes are more temperamental than the c4 and c6, if the fluid is not fresh it will not shift correctly.
