Default Fuel Line Concern (Truck was stolen)

Hey guys,
My mint condition 1993 F150 was stolen and looted for the tailgate and gas. No theft insurance. I just replaced the (slashed) fuel filler necks, and put some gas it in. Then I noticed the metal lines under the cab looked weird. They are connected with small pieces of rubber tube. Please take a look at the pic. One was leaking, causing loss of fuel pressure (no start), until I reconnected it. Do I need new metal fuel lines? How much trouble do you guys reckon to replace these lines? Thanks

Interesting. Looks like someone spliced the metal lines together there. Maybe some metal clamps to hold it together better.

How safe is this?

Looks like there's some decent fuel line repair options... http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/se...1652/C0290.oap

Or should I just replace the lines? Do these metal lines get damaged sometimes? I'm thinking this was just a shoddy repair rather than something the thieves messed with.

honestly just get some hose clamps and some fuel injection gas line (carb fuel line isnt strong enough since its meant for low pressure) and youll be fine

Our trucks don't have steel lines. Braided stainless steel on newer and plastic on older. Somebody rigged up those lines.

If you have the funds I would replace it with a new line. The truck is in nice enough condition. LMC truck or National Parts Depot has correct replacements.
