Default Gas tank capacity?

I just got a 1994 ford f150 not to long ago and was wondering how much gas it holds my old ford was a dual tank so i don't know about a single tank. The reason I'm asking is because today was the first day I completely filled it up and it was on about a 1/6 of a tank of gas and only took 11 gallons to fill up. Is it a 15 gallon tank

i would think it's a 19 gallon since the rear tank in my 89 is 19. the gauge only reads 12 gallons in my truck so for the longest time i thought it was a 15 gallon too until i did a little research.

In my 95, the gauge was showing 1/4 tank less then what was in there. So If I filled it all the way up, it would show being 3/4 filled. After calculating my mileage after a couple of tanks, I determined I could get at least 250 miles out of it. However the gauge shows empty at 170 miles. So I drove well into the E and then filled it up. When I did that it was only wrong by 1/8th of a tank when full. Now when full it shows 7/8ths or so. Almost to the Full mark.

So I believe if you need to calibrate it, you have to run it till empty, or fumes, then fill it all the way up.
