fuel filter on 94
I have a 1994 f150 5.0 with dual tanks, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the front and rear tank share a fuel filter or if they are separate? I was told to clean the fuel filter to my rear tank because I am having some issues with it but I don't know where it is located?

More accurately called the fuel sock...no sense in cleaning it when it's only a 10 dollar part...buy a new one and stick it on.

So there is also a fuel filter on the fuel pump that is located in the fuel tank? If I (my dad is my mechanic LOL) drop the tank (or remove the bed) do I need to remove the pump to change the filter? I am hoping that this is my issue with my back tank because you can hear the fuel pump working and my truck will run off of the back tank, but it is just very sluggish and unresponsive, as if it is not getting sufficient fuel supply. Lets hope that fixes it

No I haven't yet, I don't think that it is causing my problem because the front tank runs fine, it just doesn't register on the fuel gauge and i am trying to avoid buying a sending unit for the front tank...the back tank registers fine but it doesn't run well ...lol go figure! I wonder if I could pull the sending unit from the back tank and put it in the front? Just a thought..
