do you have 4 wheel drive? almost every f150 does that. arent limeted slip differentials open untill there is to much wheel spin on one axle then the power ist transfer to the other one?

Cmon man."954x4". Limited slip is just that. Limited. Although it slips more than it holds. Going straight, both wheels should have power, then in soft spots or turns, all the power goes to the wheel thats easier to turn, the lsd tries to prevent this, but it only helps a little in my experience. Now in an open diff. Both wheels are free to move at whatever speed they need to turn. And driving on the road there would be no power going to the front, so lsd would be pointless until youre offroad, but the open diff offroad sends ALL of its power to the easier to turn wheel. If your outside wheel drags, youve got issues. Mine does not drag at all. No hop. Nothing. Smooth sailing. Like i said, if your concerned for on road, make sure the front diff is open, offroad, throw a locker in the rear and make sure the front is open. Lockers up front are usually bad juju.

everyone i talked with about the front wheels not moving at different speeds say that is how it works both wheels will turn at the same speeds turning or not. from what you just said lsd would be bad off road the wheel with no grip would be stuck spinning. i would love to lay some 11s down with my truck but i just have the one wheel wonder so what system would be good at that? lsd right? one breaks loose sends it to the other wheel to break loose.

If you've got wheel hop or drag, he's right. Mine doesn't do that with 3.55's and 31's. As for laying down parallels, the locker is what would make them turn at the same rate. Limited slip still has some slip, hence limited. It's GOAL is to eliminate it, so you can lay down power to both sides instead of bury one tire, or so you can light both sides up in your example. There would still be a transfer. Lockers eliminate that transfer.

I can break loose pretty easy with my open diffs. mostly because I don't know what a throttle isn't. My foot is in the pedal pretty often, and i'm getting pretty good at drifting around, as much as my truck hates me for it.

so your saying my front axle is ****ed up? great just frken great. i bought it like that and it works really nice. i do have 3.08 non ls rear gears and 30.8 in the fronts i have been told from alot of people on here and my uncle that my front tires are going to do that. a locker on the rear would create some problems running on the pavement so i should look into a locker? so i can lock and unlock the diff correct?

I'm not saying it's ****ed up, but mine's never drug or hopped. It seems really odd to me that yours is, if you're saying it's NOT locked or anything. you can get e-lockers, air lockers, and whatnot that will unlock and lock, but most lockers (lunchbox lockers, detroits and stuff) are a put in locked deal. You'd have to take em out to unlock em. A locker on the rear should be just fine, i know lots of people who've done it. but front would be the problem causer.

side note: I may have ****ed up reading somewhere and be confused, so don't take my stuff to heart. I'm getting a little confused with where this is going, honestly.

...so this has all been with you being in 4x4 on pavement, and not two wheel?

If that's the case, you're out of luck and I suck at reading. Lol.
