fast idle???

fast idle???
Hi,
So I know its not a 87-96 f150...actually its a 84 ranger 2.8...but I was hoping u guys could help me out.....so in the morning I start my truck up...set the choke and away she fires...then i kick it down after a min of running....then i drive out the driveway down the road and the fast idle comes back on again...........and before all this the same thing was happening in the winter but opposite...it would come off the fast idle before it was warm or i kicked it off.......so i adjusted it to idle at a good 3000 rpm..(ugh)..and then kick it down...being in the summer its not so bad.....but yea to what i started ...it keeps coming back on......also something that might help is that it has sat for 1 yr...1.5 yr............its a auto choke..2 barral v6 standard....just had a refresh but nothing was done to the carb.........thanks for any imput.
