Looks like my local pick place has prices. Which one of these do I need if I go there and actually find the correct gear ratio:

Axle Assy, Truck $204.99
Axle Assy, Truck D To D $204.99
Axle Assy, Truck Dually $204.99

I figure Dually definitely not. What is D to D mean?

I'm thinking this is probably not that hard to do right? And it'll give me a chance to learn how to do the entire drum brakes on my own while off the vehicle.

I can buy it, leave it on the patio, learn to do the drums, clean it out, maybe paint it, open the diff cover and see what's in there.

With all due respect, I call BS. 275/45/20 is basically a 30" tire. 20 on the highway MAYBE but I am still doubtful.
I fill tank full of gas and drive using gps recorded mileage, not my odometer, and then fill tank back full and calculate. I average 20 in city and 30 on highway. It's not the trucks, its how they are drove. I push clutch in and coast as much as I can and when I go I make sure to shift between 1500 and 2000 rpms.

Axle d to d is the rear axle drum to drum, here in east Texas just rear axle no brake hardware is $250 with $50 core and drum to drum is $285 with $50 core.

275/45/20 tire is not much bigger than 235/75/15 tire.

And everyone calling bull**** on my mileage, I'm going to fill tank full tomorrow and drive 30 miles on interstate and fill tank full and record mileage. Then I will drive 30 miles in city fill tank full and check mileage. I've already checked idle consumption couple days ago, filled tank full let idle for 2 hours exactly while I was at lake enjoying cold beer, took gas can and filled quart oil jug til gas came to top of filler neck and took a shy less than 5 quarts. My timing is 12° btdc have spectra air filter run castrol 10w30 spark gap is .48 msd coil and I set idle at 650rpm.

Cool thanks for the info! I kinda want the brake hardware so I can learn to do the drum brakes. I can take my time doing it.

Guess my local pick place is pretty reasonable. I need a new front bumper too. $40 bucks. And a bench seat they are charging $41 bucks. These are for a 96 so I'm sure it'll fit a 95.

That'll be real cool. Thanks for doing that. I'm curious to see too.

21mpg all day long!!!!!!! No flux capacitor! Just easy on the speed! 55-60mph and I can roll 21mpg without fail. Anything over that, say 70 and I drop to about 17. 75mph and I try not to look at the gas gauge.

Here bumpers front or rear are $50 and bench seat or any seats that are all connected like two buckets and a jumpseat are all $50. My current seat is from a 97 f350 powerstroke crew cab back seat.

Same here, its all in your speed but more on the rpms for me. In the city I try to stay around 2000rpms in 1st2nd3rd and on highway between 1500-2000rpms using 4th or 5th. 2000rpms in 5th gear with 3.08 gear and 275/45/20s gps says I'm going 72-73mph I usually get 25-30mpg on Highway depending on all the hills here.
