Brother, don't take it so personally - you've got a great truck that gets great mileage and you get better mpg than almost anyone here, and you definitely proved my doubts wrong by showing you get better than 20 mpg highway.

Can we all be friends and just enjoy our awesome trucks?

Just checked my 95 axle code it is 18 which I believe is 3.08,in the summer months I average 17mpg. Just recently finished some repairs so I am keeping a close eye on mpg to see if any change.

I'm not upset at anyone for their opinions on my facts. I would like everyone to turn their criticism on their self. I believe everyone will have higher numbers if they are easier with the throttle. It was hard for me at first because hey I'm a guy and I like torque. Gas prices went up and I stopped putting my foot to the floor and saved $$$

I haven't measured my 302 auto trams mpg, but I'm sure it isn't good. It's one of those "scared to look" deals. Which is bad, because I've done a lot of work that really should be giving me better mileage. Tranny shifts sluggish but... Now I'm gonna have to measure it just to see my numbers...

Don't be surprised if you see numbers more like 12 to 16 mpg. That's a more realistic figure to expect.

My trucks got 2.73 with the 6, 5 speed, K & N filter, e-fans, Super Coil, and I "drive like a grandpa" according to a friend, and I can get 18-19 mpg all day on the highway. But I'd be really happy if I got in the 20's!!!
