Off to a great start. In reference to blasting to remove all rust...this isn't necessarily required as long as the rusted areas are either sanded thoroughly (surface rust only) or cut out and patched properly (for complete rust through). And yes, sometimes rust can be hiding under paint but a good shop with skilled people should be able to find the troublesome areas if it isn't their first rodeo. It would appear that this was the original red paint??? That will make it easier to spot the problem areas as they haven't been botched and covered up already.

Good luck on the rest of it and keep us posted...I like to see progress on projects!

yes, the original pictures are of the original paint. Ended up replacing the bed, hood, front fenders, front valance, front and rear bumper, some cab floor rust patching and more!

can't wait to get 'er back (looking like 2 ish weeks)
