Engine Swap question ---firing order
Looking to put a remanufactured 1988 F-150 5.0L in a 1996 Ford E-150....both machines are 5.0L, but they have different firing orders.
I'm going with the 1996 electronics and top end, but the 1988 motor had a different firing order than the 1996.
Question: can anyone thing of any problems (firing order wise) with this swap?

Springer Spaniels Rule
88 standard cam, 96 possible roller cam, all roller motors have a diff firing order than the non roller, besides the roller motors are pretty much for multiport efi, non roller for bank injection, the non roller is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8, the roller motor is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. You should go with the same firing order that goes with the type of system, ie 96, should be mass air.
