Egr clogged. Gunked up really bad ...contemplating deleting the iac next. Heard alot of mixed things about it a few more good. I'm getting alot of popping under load and bogging down. Had this issue with other 89 5.0 replaced tps and iac ran great more power better mph and quicker start ups.....list pros and cons and any other thoughts to aid me in fixing this issue below thanks

I wouldn't delete the IAC, replace it-yes. The engine will run fine without it but it's function is to control air intake at idle and without it your idling fuel economy will drop quite a bit.

Clean or replace the IAC. Don't just remove it. If people said that removing the IAC makes their truck run better then they have other issues.
