Default EGR on 96 302 and 96 351

I just went out and looked and the egr system on my 302 is different from the egr on the 351 I just bought. I would assume this is because the 351 is bigger? And I was wondering if I would be able to swap the 302 system on to the 351.

On the 302 the egr pipe comes from the lower intake manifold passenger side. On the 351 it comes from the passenger side exhaust manifold. So you couldn't swap the system over. I bet you could swap the 351 system to the 302 with some modification though. Hope that helps.

What are the tubes called that come up from both exhaust manifolds on the my 96 351W? If I remember correctly the come around the intake manifold and looks like they go into the actual intake?

alright so I believe they are smog tubes. Since I'm going to go with shorty headers what are my options with the smog? If I delete it will it still pass emissions? Or what other options do I have?
