SOLUTION:
Purchase and install a Goodyear Gatorback Belt

Called: The Quiet One

This belt solved my belt squealing problem when first starting the cold 4.9L engine.
I purchased this belt for $29.00 on the Internet.

I have tried belts from NAPA, Auto-Zone and Discount Auto Parts and they all squealed until the cold engine was driven for 3 miles and then the belt squealing would stop, now there is no noise, no squealing at all, ever!

I installed the Gatorback belt in September 09 and it still does not squeal even in below freezing weather.

This Goodyear Gatorback belt has cross thatched lines instead of the 6 straight ribbed lines that fit into the pulley grooves. (See picture)

The other three serpentine belts I installed all had straight ribbed lines and all three squealed loudly when the engine was cold in the Florida summer.

I have the Gatorback also, but I bought it at Autozone, so not everything they sell is bad...
