How much coolant does an 87 4.9L Strait 6 take?

From what I'm seeing online it should hold 3 gallons when empty. 1.5 if you just do the radiator alone an not the engine block. Others can chime in that known that motor since I have never worked on one.

I always buy 2 gallons of concentrate. Mix it 50/50 with water. Put the extra in the garage for later.

I was able to fill with a little over 2 gallons of 50/50 mix.
