hey guys whats going on...what do you guys think of the E4OD as a suitable trans to build a good size motor off of...i cant seem to find any specs that say what tolerences it can handle...also im lookin for a good L.S.D. any ideas...one other thing i found this kick ***** paddle shifter kit check it out

i know what your talking about but im kind of lost with the names of trannys
my friend knows alot about trannys and he was saying he wanted an AOD tranny to rebuild with
im not too sure what he has now but ill talk to him and let you know

thanks man...im havin a hell of a time gettin info...but i do know that gen 1 lightinings had a beefed up E4OD but what that means i have no idea so any info would be great

just put in a big block and a C6 Tranny(bullet proof)......the bank got lots of it$$$$$$$$$$............lol.....lol...

I think if you are looking for a strong ford auto tranny just stay away from a 4 speed (overdrive),try to find a old auto 3 speed. Calvin

i been lookin for the past hour and cant seem to find and HP specs. does anyone know if a E4OD in a 95 f150 2wd will handle 450 horsepower? If not how much will it handle?

thats doubling your horsepower, what are you doing to your truck? if you want a good strong trans go C6, otherwise i have a manual somewhere with some modifications listed i'll dig it out tomorrow and take a look at what it says

im dumping a 331 stroker in my truck, would like to stay with my E4OD even if it means beefing it up. But if not then ill get something different if i have too.

Look at TCI or Fairbanks, they should have street\strip trannies.
