Dual tank valve,

Dual tank valve,
I want to convert my 92 f150 to use only the front tank, remove the rear completely.
Do Fords have an external valve that the lines run to? I cannot seem to find it.

A 92 will not have the switching valve on the rail the pumps in the tanks have check valves built in. To eliminate the rear tank you need to get the fuel line set for a single tank model 92-96 and replace yours or some people have use the connector tubes off an old pump that have been cut and soldered up to block off the lines to the rear tank.

So my front tank does not work. I can switch it to front tank power on (without running) a couple of times and hear the pump prime up. So that means the pump works (or spins up) just may not pump or pump enough pressure? Or possibly have bad gas in it?

The fuel gets transfered when the check valve in the pump goes bad or gets trash in it keeping it from sealing off. If its the fuel system recall I'm thinking about Ford did it to install inline check valves to help with the problem.
