Start by Marking BOTH shaft ends with yolks for reassembly.. you will find out why... Remove the 1/2" nuts holding the u bolts to the yolk assy on the rear-end. Remove this drive shaft carefully first if you have marked it. Then remove support bearing bolts. (I had to grind off heads to remove.) Support bearing side with jack stand and remove the 1/2" nuts holding that shaft to the output yolk from the transfer case. Then remove shaft with bearing attached. Now remove Bearing.. I used a 3" air cutting disc and cut the bearing off carefully layer by layer. When I got to the last section I was super careful and noticed before I cut all the way down I could tap the sleeve off with no problem. I then Cleaned everything well and scraped rust from shafts. I used a 4x4 log, a 10"Long 1 1/2" Nipple with threaded ends from the electrical dept at home depot. (I brought my Micrometer to measure the 1 3/8" inner diameter I needed to go over the 1 3/8" shaft diameter.) I also purchased a cap for it to have a hitting end. Total price for a great fit under $10! I will have pics soon! I stood the shaft on the log and nicely seated the bearing on the shaft using a drop of grease and my tool with a 5lb hammer. went easy. Dont hit it crazy unless you have too. I watch videos of idiots bashing it on lol morons will change that again in a month lol... I then checked my u joints and 2 of the 3 needed changed and that is easy. The other I re-packed with grease. Please remember to mark yolks and shafts to reassemble. Buy only grease-able u-joints. Nappa. Now you clean out-put shafts from rear-end and transfer case and apply anti-seize to u-bolts. I also pumped 10 shots of grease into the shaft that accepts grease deep down in the shaft. Then Install in reverse starting at transfer case. Making sure to line up your marks. Do not tighten support bearing yet leave loose. Tighten shaft ends. I hope your lines match up or you will get a wobble. Transfer case yolk has to be in the same position as rear-end yolk or you get a wobble... then take a look at your transfer case output shaft location and your rear-end output shaft location. They are not centered with each other. Your transfer case is off center. So now you have to make sure your bearing is aligned with the shafts not the frame mount. They make the mounting holes slotted for this. If your bearing is not aligned with the yolks you will be changing it again. Tighten support bearing bolts once aligned and then grease drive shaft locations. U-joints and slip sleeve. Then away you go!... Hope this helps pictures coming soon.
