I found this intake system for my 93 4.9l but i dont know how it works. it just may be that im stupid, but what is the hose for? how does the one filter bolt up to a stock dual outlet? if anyone can help please let me know, it will further my search and better my decision when purchasing a CAI. the tube is for a vacuum line I believe, at least, that is what mine was for.

yep. I dont think that the picture on that link you gave was the right one, or it was at least not the best angle to take that picture from.

but the one in the instalation guide looks like it would work just right.
