Default Cruise control cuts off when speedo bounces

So the speedometer starts to bounce around 70, as soon as it bounces it kicks the cruise control off, is this an issue with the cruise control or most probably the speedometer bouncing and the VSS. Thanks in advance

I would take a look at the VSS. The cruise is meant to cut off when you drop a certain amount of speed as a safety to not damage anything on the drive train forcing it to go when slowing down. So its seeing the speedometer bouncing as the truck quickly changing speeds.

It's an issue with the speedometer bouncing. To stop the speedometer bouncing, unplug the antilock brake unit. It's located behind the glove box. You aren't losing anything by unplugging the antilock brakes, They really don't work that well. You can spend a lot of time chasing that speedometer bounce. This fixes it pretty easy.

So I lose my antilock brake system by this quick fix? Or is this just kind of an override fix that solves my problem?

I would look as the VSS first.
