Default Correct fuel pressure 4.9l

My truck reads 45 psi KOER on either tank/pump, I know 45 - 60 is within range. I'm chasing a minor occasional lean misfie. Anyone heard of the fuel pressure regulator going bad by keeping pressure too low?

your sitting right about normal for the 4.9 give it gas while it is hooked to the gauge. the pressure should rise and not fall. last time my pump went bad it would idle real nice and run pretty good until i got on it then the pressure would drop and drop and not beable to build back up fast enough. but i didnt have any misfires. it just stumbled on its self. and wanted to die

4.9 runs 50-60 psi on the fuel so if your running 45 psi it's running a little low. Yeah a regulator can do that usually you can pull the vacuum hose off it and have fuel there if it bad.
