Default Computer

My truck has been running rough. Every Time I pull codes it is different codes. The other day I noticed when it won't start the fuel pump doesn't shut off. After some shooting in the dark I decided to pull the computer out and it look burnt to me. Do yall think this could be my problem. Sometimes it acts like it's not in first gear. And also it take a few min to go into gear besides that no other tranny problems.

Go get a junkyard computer and swap it in and see what happens. If all your problems go away, that computer is screwed.

I picked up one from a junk yard it starts better and seems to run better but I didn't get the correct one. It also has the burnt looking spot but not near as bad. The issue with the jy one is its for a different tranny. It will not go into gear with the jy comp. So I ordered a brand new one and gonna take the jy one back.

I don't see anything burnt. You mean the brown stuff on the J3 port above the 24 pin IC? That's just some bull**** coating they put on there... no worries.

If you go to the junkyard take the old one with you and compare the part numbers on the plug on the eec computer. If they are the same you wont need to order a new one. The new rebuilt powertrain modules are like 300-400 dollars.

Well I put a new one in it and it's made a huge difference. Idk what was wrong with that comp but it runs a lot better, And the tranny is like a new one.
