An I fighting a losing battle here?
I replaced my rotors and they came with new hubs as well. Nice and shiny. However, they're already starting to get a coat of "rust" I guess. They're turning brown where water gets on them. I tried a Polish and a coating of WD-40 but it didn't seem to help the spots returning after a wash. Is there anything I can do to keep them shiny or if resistance futile?

Rustoleum? So long as you keep it off the disc itself, painting the hub shouldn't hurt, might get hot enough to require high temp paint though. The wd40 will have to be solvented off first

Agree with painting. They're paint made for rotors and calipers, some people use it on their Mustangs. I will never do this because of the work and time it takes plus I'm a little lazy . Let them rust because it is normal
