Default Clunking Sound In Front End

i notice when in 4wd i get a clunking sound in the front end when going around corners. i havent crawled under it yet but i'm thinkinbg a cv joint?

i also noticed when in 2wd if you tun it right as far as it will go it sometimes locks up, then you have to back off it to the wheel to turn. I'M ASSUMING THESE PROBLEMS ARE RELATRD

Sounds like a CV to me. You might get lucky and remove your tire to find that your retaining nut on your hub is loose. Try that first.
