I have the same exact truck as you just the extended cab. I cut my cat off and the 02 sensor is infront of it. If it needs the cat just gut it and put it back on...or like me take it off and true dual it with just glasspacks.

I removed both cats and replaced with a single cat and y-tube...hope it helps...I also hooked them up to a turbo muffler and used 3" inch pipes all around... hope it helps...sounds great and increased power.

Question what?

The cat, I know nothing of exhaust. Does it have to be cut out?, or what?
I'm not saying this is the route I'm going to take, but I'm still curious.

yes, it has to be cut out. just go look under your truck. youll see what we're talking about. the setup on these old trucks is fairly simplistic.

While driving home today my Check Engine Light came on for about 10 miles. It turned off. This concerns me a little since it has never gone off (at least I know it works though). This is day 2 on my new exhaust set up. See prior posts.. Any feedback
