Default Carbed engine in a FI truck

Ok the same 94 truck I asked the axle question on I've got an engine question as well. The 94 comes with a 300-6 in it, cool thats what i want but..... I've got a carbed 300-6 that I have just recently rebuilt in my 86 that is getting retired due to rust (thats why I bought the 94) anyway my friend is trying to talk me into putting the carbed engine in the new truck and keeping it carbed. While part of me want to do this I keep leaning towards putting the FI (I have dreams of twin turbos) on my carbed engine in the new truck but I wondering if the the carb head will work well with FI? Also I would like to hear the opinion of others as to whether I should go carb of FI. Also If I do stay fuel injected I'm gonna be swapping from and auto to a 5 speed, will the computer need to be swapped or will I not even notice?

Highly recommend sticking with fuel injection if at all possible. Much better fuel delivery and diagnostic capabilities. Don't know of any issues with the head, will likely have to change the intake manifold.

If you're really after turbos - the 300 is probably not the best candidate.

As to the tranny question - don't know for sure, but wouldn't think it would cause problems.

Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress.

I did forget to say that I have an Offenhauser dual port intake with and Edelbrock 4 bbl sitting on top of it. I realize the 300 isn't the best for turbos but I just like being different and playing around with stuff so part of it to do it just to do it
