I have a 96 5.0 too, I got a spectre filter and a adapter plate off eBay and replaced the factory box with it, sorry I can't get any pics of it

Adapter plate? Was the CAI for a mustang?

No, it was a little aluminum plate that had the place for 4 bolts that connect the air intake tune to the factory air box. The adapter makes it where you can fit any cone filter to the intake tube

Thanks for the tip. Also is there any kind of box that will fit that? I don't want it sucking air from under the hood, but I don't want it to look like a cob-job either.

Keep the damn stock box!! It pulls cold air from front of truck!! And is not restrictive hardly at all!!!!

shield.
