Default Cab SWAP questions

I just found 96 F150 wiht a bashed in cab. It is an extended cab with a 302. At our farm I have a front end wrecked 92 F150 Extended cab.

This one has a 351. Both run strong but neither are driveable in present condition. 92 has no title and 96 wil have a salvage title.

My question is this, how hard would it be to swap the 92 cab over to the 96 and call it the 96?

Will the electronics plug right back in or am I opening myself a big can of worms.

The 96 is super cheap and worth the purchase if only for the engine and transmission, but thats why I bought the 92?

Thanks for helping a Newbie out!

You will have to swap the wiring harness over to use the cab. Then you have the issue of illegally swapping the VIN plate, which you should check into because maybe it might be legal to do this for this kind of repair.
