If it works, it's fine. Not a high pressure / stress part.
Guess it was just easier than trying to get the broken bolt out.
I can imagine the cursing going on trying to get that to work after the bolt broke.

Oh, did you do that ? I thought you got it that way. It's a good fix. Very ingenious.
I can still imagine the cursing that went on when that bolt broke.

Not very hard to make,just very time consuming. A still piece 1inch wide by 1/8 thick . Unfortunately all of the work done to it the transmission slid out of my father's truck on to the road shattering the case
