First off I don't think they made an AOD for a 460. If you want an overdrive trans and E4OD would be the one. They have aftermarket controllers for a good price.

Measure the two top holes on the bell-housing of the AOD transmission.

The 351M/400M/429/460 rear top two holes measure 7 3/4" Center to Center.

Your Transfer Case may not bolt up to the rear of the AOD or the E4OD?

Drive shafts still the correct length?
Measure/compare the length of the AOD to the C6.

The C6 is a heavy duty transmission and not as expensive to rebuild as some transmissions are.

Hope this helps!

ya i was thinking e4od but i was told that its wired in to the stock harnes and it would be almost impossoble to wire it up right but if the aftermarket controlers dont run threw the harness i would look in to it you know any one that makes them
