Buying truck need HELP 94 vs 96 F150 4x4
Ok need some advise sorry short notice this all just fell in my lap.....
Im looking at 2 trucks a 94 $3500 and a 96 $2800 both F150 4x4 5.0 auto single cab long beds. miles both 150k
IS there going to be a big difference in buy one over the other motor wise?
Any other things to take in to account?
94 (white) has factory tach and is push button 4x4 (I kinda like the idea of the tach but not a far of the push button)
96 (blue) does not have the tach is manual shift but still auto hubs

I have not seen them in person yet going to see white one today and blue one on Friday.
So just wondering if one would be better to buy then the other year wise.

I think it's strange to have a manual trans with no tach.
96 has a few improvements over the 94, but for the most part anything 92-96 is interchangeable.
Personally I would take the manual over the auto, plus it's cheaper. Just look them over really good.

I'd go with the '96 personally. I prefer the manual shift t/case - put some manual hubs on there and you'll have a real truck. And '95 - 96 is when they started putting the roller cams in the 302's on the F150's (as opposed to the roller cam block with a flat tappet cam). Plus they'd worked out a few bugs from the earlier years. But they both look like nice trucks.

I agree on the '96. You could put in an aftermarket tach if you wanted. They both look pretty clean. I like the idea of a manual t-case more they seem to be more reliable.

Passed on the white 93 had rust in the bed and on the cab where the rubber meets body of the back window size of a quarter so not sure what is under the gasket. Also had some body damage that was not fixed right so still wavy....I can fix things that are broke but I dont do body work.
Per the VIN of the blue truck its a 95 and after getting more info has 134k miles not 150k. Also has MSD cap, K&N cold air, and he says 4" pipe front to back think he means cat back but we will see on Friday.
