brake light switch
my brake lights dont work so i replaced the brake light switch, still no lights. i took the switch out and manually depressed it and th brake lights cam on. so it has to be in the installation. i have a 90 f150.
the problem with mine is the switch keeps rotating down and then the lights dont work. i checked my sons, he has a 96 with the same set up. his acts like its spring loaded, if you pull down on it or push up it snaps back into place, mine does not. i checked his and the instructions and i installed it correctly i am stumped. this is not a push button type switch.
which leads to a second question, i also have a push button switch off the brake pedal with a hose that runs ito the firewall, cant wuite figure out what it is. i am guessing either a cruise control sensor or abs
any help is appreciated, i am pulling my hair out, both of them
