Default body lift question (Hockey pucks??)

I have a leveling kit on my 89 f150 and want to add 1 or 2 inches yet. Is there a body kit you recommend? or is hockey pucks a good idea? I am just trying to think of what the difference would be? saves 130 bucks from what I can see? Any input would be great.

If you're willing to go 3", Amazon has the 3" Performance Accessories kit for $115 shipped. It eliminates any question of the reliability/safety of the pucks and adds in longer replacement bolts and any required steering extensions, etc.
Amazon Amazon

For some reason, the 2" kit is $150.

My old truck I made the mistake of buying the kit. My new truck I used hockey pucks and I noticed a smoother ride and it cost me 17 bucks total. Overall I'm always going the pucks route from now on.

Not trying to hijack the thread here, just wondering how many pucks did you need and was there any other mods you had to do?

Do not do pucks!!! I've seen bad things at the body shop I was at before.

*there's no replacement for displacement*

Like what kind of bad things?
Also I dont really want to go 3 inches. But thanks for the link! what about a 2inch suspension? is it really that much better?? I was thinking 1 or 2 tops. I was thinking just 1 hockey puck width.

Maybe not right away but eventually those pucks WILL start cracking. I've seen them blow apart right out from under the axles

I did a two inch. Three is as big as you can go unless you feel like extending brake lines fuel fillers and steering wheel shaft. After a body lift on these trucks almost 98% of the time your horn and cruise control will not work. And before you get all hippy skippy and start your truck up , make sure you make some drop brackets to your radiator shroud.
