Default Transmission was slipping in 3rd gear, but now it has fixed itself?

I have a 95 4x4 f150 with 5.0 motor and 4r70w tranny. One day I began to experience what felt like slipping in 3rd gear. I had to drive around in 2nd gear and limit my speed to 45mph to keep my rpms below 3k. This went on for a week.

Fast forward to yesterday. It has been shifting fine when, cold and when warmed up. No issues.

I'm assuming ive got a failing sensor having to do with my tranny. Does anyone know what it could be? No flashing od or check engine lights, and no codes on the scanner.
