Best Starter for 1991 F150
Hey everyone! I have had problems with the crappy solenoid which we have been blessed with on this particular model, and I finally got one with a lifetime warranty which paid for itself after the first month!
Anyway, this last episode fried my Starter and I had bought the cheapest one at my local store last time. This time, I want to get one that's built like a tank.
Any recommendations for brand. Bosch?
I have a 1991 F150 v.6 with a 350?
Thanks in advance!!

Ahh, thanks!
So this one would be a good candidate then? Any better prices out there than this?

I would recommend upgrading to a 92+ starter as well. Has a solenoid on the starter itself. I forget the exact website, but doing that swap involves one extra wire. I did it on my 91 302/E4OD.
Btw this generation F150 never had a v6 and 350 is a chevy motor....

Sir Jedi,
Well, there are only 6 spark plugs in my engine, and I knew I was getting the (350) part wrong.
I have a starter with the solenoid on there already, in fact there are two solenoids in this chain - one on the starter and one near the engine.
I just want to put what Ford intended originally in the engine, as I have had plenty of problems with this particular combination; the solenoid has not been happy ever since I replaced the original starter.

Mr. Sean,
I was just wondering if one was BETTER than the other? I suppose it all depends on who is doing the rebuilding. If it doesn't make a difference whether I get new or rebuilt, than I would get rebuilt any day. Not only is it recycling as you said, but it is CHEAPER!!
