I have 94 f150 5.0 4x4. My truck drives fine on a straight road but when going into curves or rough road it is a handfull to steer. I have to keep working the wheel to get it to go straight. Brand new tires and 4 wheel alingnment. I checked the steering system and everything is tight and no play in tie rod ends at all. Rag joint is also good. I dont know what it could be just want it to steer better.

Have you check steering pump.

No, it seems fine it is full of fluid and no noises. When i checked the steering i had someone turn the wheel barely and everything was tight as can be and performed well just wanders when going in turns.

Look to see if one tire lags behind the other when direction is changed.

No lag in tires. They both turn at exact same time no delay at all. This has me puzzled.

do u have enough oil in gear box all the time ?make sure everything its ok there.

Easier to see on pavement.

I havent checked the oil in the gearbox. Im thinking about adjusting the gear box a little but dont wanna mess up the gears. Either that or install steering stabilizer.

Steering stabilizer is just a band-aid.

How are the rest of your bushings? Radius arm, axle pivot, etc?

all bushings look good. I need to replace my front rotors soon with new ones. They are worn out. Would that have an effect on the wandering issue?
