Hey guys I'm new to the post and I'm having trouble with my 92 flareside.. The trouble I'm having is The front tires are leaning in at the top about 2 inches from center any ideas of what parts i will need and if i can so the job my self without sending it to the shop

Well if your looking at the front tires after you've backed into a parking spot or something, then it's normal for your front tires to go / \. Pull it forward about 10 feet, without letting it roll backward any, and then look at the front tires.

If all of this isn't your issue, then you need to check ball joints and wheel bearings. If your ball joints and wheel bearings are good, then you just need a good ole' fashioned alignment.

Thanks for those tips and I've done those. Its still / \ leaning like this pretty bad.. I've been told that this problem is my camber I'm trying to fix it with a limited budget not sure if there's anything i can do before i resort to sending off to the alignment shop

Not really anything you can do. You'll have to buy camber bushings to install on the upper ball joints to get it aligned correctly. The shop will do all of that though. The camber adjusting kit will look something like this http://www.jcwhitney.com/professiona...uestid=1467806

The bottom line you can not do much on your own with the Twin-I-Beam, or the Twin Traction Beam front end. alignment requires special tooling and more importantly a mechanic expienced with these two front ends, The tooling required to do a proper job will cost far more then the labor cost to have a good axle shop do the work for you.

Thats what i was afraid of would it be wise for me to get the ball joints camber kit for them to have if its is needed at the time for the alignment

Yup those are the right ones. However I just put them on my truck a while back and only paid $15/side at the parts store for them then had the alignment shop install them while they were aligning it after the most recent lift.

If you have any parts stores around check with them to see what kinda prices they have.

I just got back from auto zone and they cant even get the +/- 4 deg. camber kit i also talked with the alignment shop and they said that i might not even need the camber kit after the inspecting as of right now I'm leaning to take it to the shop instead of fighting with doing it my self and thanks to all who have helped with the advice
