Amperage Draw
#11
It's a Canadian thing eh!
Negative battery cable off, multi-meter then connecting the negative cable to the negative terminal on the battery gives me .17 mA. Stupid comment/question. I get .17 when I put the positive (red) multi-meter cable on the battery cable. If I put the black multi-meter cable on the negative battery cable then I get .02 mA. Does that make sense? Anyway, the truck had been off for a couple hours and there were no accessories on.
Both battery cables off I get .02 mA across the terminals. For the record, this is a brand new battery because I was having this problem with a prior battery and I thought it was the battery so I got a new one from AutoZone.

A way to test where the draw is coming from is to start pulling fuses one at a time and see if the draw rate changes drastically. If it does, whatever that fuse is in charge of will give you an idea of what to look for.

I checked the glove box light, it does not stay on.
I had a friend hold the multi meter on the battery and negative cable and I started pulling fuses. Nothing I pulled dropped the amperage below .17mA.
Other suggestions for trying to find flaws? It looks like all my grounds are good. I don't see any frayed wires. Thanks for help, this is so annoying.

Ok, so if I let the truck sit for more than 72 hours, the battery will drain and it won't start. I decided to pull the dome lamp/radio fuse and let it sit for 72 hours and it fired right up. How do I troubleshoot each component on a certain fuse?
