Default Alternator question

How do I tell how many amps my alt is? After I changed my belt yesterday my system drains my alt pretty bad and it never did this before. I think it's got something to do with the tensioner because the tensioner is old and moves a bit and when the voltage drops the belt sounds like it's slipping. Any feedback?

If it is a gen 2 I think they are only 65-75 amps. Google gen 3 alternator up grade for older fords.

What year is your truck? Can you post a pic of the front of your alternator.

The only real way to tell the output is test it.

But you did it anyway instead of starting your own thread.
